Walden Lake Community Association is a community of approximately 2241 resident owners. Although we do not own the main roads, Timberlane and Griffin, we do maintain the medians and public right of ways as well as all the entrances to Walden Lake and individual neighborhoods with the exception of a few private neighborhoods. We have a great deal of common property that is maintained, including a Lake Park, Lake Walking Trail, various cart paths, Athletic Sports Park, Dog Park, Silverwood Park and an HOA office building. All of these properties and amenities are maintained by Walden Lake Community Association through either our own maintenance team or various contractors.
Committees are organized for specific responsibilities and provide guidance to the Board and Walden Lake Manager regarding goals and direction.
The Committees involved in this survey are:
The Landscape Committee, responsible for Landscaping and Maintenance.
The Safety Committee, responsible Community Safety and Security.
The Events Committee, responsible for event ideas and organization of community events.
The Communication Committee, responsible for the Walden Newsletter, website postings, mailings, signage and general community notices.
The Enrichment Committee, responsible for Community Amenity improvements.
WLCA wants to hear from its residents regarding how they feel about the Association’s responsiveness to community needs. This Survey is intended to provide the Association’s Board and Management Company the necessary feedback to improve our level of resident satisfaction.

Comprehensive Plan Amendment
Here is a link to the Comprehensive Plan Amendment submitted by WL-LLC (Developer). The purpose of this document is to get a text change to the Comprehensive Plan of the Walden Lake Development to allow Apartments and Commercial within the Walden Lake Development. They are attempting to do this by getting a new category created titled “Village Center” which would include Multi Family Dwellings (Apartments) and Retail. The “Comprehensive Plan” calls Walden Lake a Golf Course Community, but the text Amendment states “Golf Course has been vacant for some time”. The Developer wants to instead create a Village Center community.
