The community of Emerald Forest is truly one of the “jewels” of Walden Lake. We are nestled among mature trees and ponds that are serene settings for many homes, along with plenty of sidewalks for brisk morning walks or leisurely strolls in the evening. There are ten different styles of homes that range in size from about 1800 square feet to 2500 square feet. Many have custom features added when building began in about 1993. Most homes have been well maintained and lovingly attended by their owners. Several residents are original owners, and most have lived in Emerald Forest ten to fifteen years or more. A few have moved away and returned after a few years, one to their original home! There is a wide variety of age groups from young families to retired couples, many who gather to “talk over the fence” or share a special event such as Fourth of July or Halloween.
